are journals in general science and physics. Impact factors are to the right. This is an annual impact factor, based on 2012 citation
reports. The impact factor reflects the average number of citations to recent
articles published in the journal. It is a measure of the frequency with which
the “average article” in a journal has been cited during 2012.
GENERAL SCIENCE JOURNALS IMPACT FACTORS (2012)
There are only a handful of general science journals. Britain and the United
States founded Nature and Science, and their respective science academies issue
their proceedings.
PHYSICS JOURNALS IMPACT FACTORS (2012)
This list includes general and specialist physics journals. Interdisciplinary
journals are included (e.g., biophysics, chemical physics) but not journals on
topics outside the traditional scope of physics (e.g., fluid mechanics,
materials science). Journals serving local communities or not in English are
omitted.
